Great stories are also written with light. At the Foneria metro station in Barcelona, LUXES has transformed the daily routine of thousands of travelers into a distinct, elegant, and human visual experience.

There, where normally there is only haste, noise, and gray walls, today the light becomes the main character. Thanks to Geminy, a revolutionary lighting system based on LED technology, the station showcases a pure, contemporary design full of personality.

Light that breaks with the everyday

Many subway systems around the world are associated with monotonous, characterless spaces. However, the project developed alongside VARIS ARQUITECTES demonstrates that beauty can exist even underground. Each Geminy light fixture redefines the relationship between architecture and lighting, providing clarity, order, and visual comfort to every corner of the station.

Technology at the service of people

Foneria is part of section 2 of Line 10 South of the Barcelona metro, located on the promenade of the Zona Franca, between Fundición Street and Plaza de la Marina de Sants. Since its inauguration on September 8, 2018, LUXES has integrated a lighting system designed to enhance not only the aesthetics of the space but also the safety and well-being of travelers and operational staff.

A light with personality

Geminy not only illuminates: it creates atmospheres, guides movements, and generates identity.
